Meet Scott Hastings: ballroom dancer, future champion, rebel. When Scott’s radical dance moves raise eyebrows with the Australian Federation, he finds himself dancing with Fran, a beginner who has no moves at all. Inspiring each other, the couple find the courage to defy both convention and their families – and discover that to be a winner, your steps don’t need to be strictly ballroom…
Based on Baz Luhrmann’s award-winning worldwide film phenomenon, Strictly Ballroom The Musical features smash-hit songs "Love is in the Air,” “Perhaps, Perhaps, Perhaps” and “Time After Time,” and all new music written by internationally acclaimed artists including Sia, David Foster, and Eddie Perfect. This feel-good ballroom sensation is sure to make for an unforgettable evening under the glitter ball that will send your heart soaring and get your toes tapping!

"I was lucky enough to see the final dress rehearsal of Strictly Ballroom and it was just wonderful! It really was a visual treat with all the fantastic ballroom outfits, lights, and of course, the exceptional dancing. The scene in Fran's family's backyard stole the show for me - the Paso Doble dancing was outstanding. I'll definitely be back to see the show again!""One of the best ever l didn’t want it to end.""What a great show. Fabulous from beginning to end. Talented cast, colourful costumes. On till 1st February so will definitely be going again. Well done .""the costumes were really beautiful and colourful, and the music and singing were lovely too, it was a magical experience and i loved it""Hands down the best I've seen at the Court Theatre... i.e. The best I've seen, period. Nothing beats the Court Theatre! ""Happened to stumble on the show whilst checking google map. Two thumbs from audiences from Malaysia. Absolutely strictly stricken with delight by the stunning performance and dancing. Very glad to catch it for our holiday trip. ""Saw Strictly tonight and thought it was incredible. A whole lot of glitter and laughter. We are so privileged to have such amazing talent right on our doorstep. Thank you for all you do to make these performances possible.""Strickly Ballroom what a fantastic show I thoroughly enjoyed the performance from beginning to end. ""My daughter Marama (vision impaired), her Nana and aunty went to the Strictly Ballroom audio descriptive show last night including the touch tour. Please pass on my huge thanks and appreciation to everyone involved. They told me the touch tour was amazing as the crew were so attentive, especially towards Marama. We have been to touch tours before and both Marama and her aunty both said this was the best they had been to. As for the show itself - absolutely fantastic. They all loved it and said they would go back to see it again. Not to forget the cafe team who ensured a table was reserved for them after the touch tour to enjoy their pizza. I am very jealous I missed the night! "
