Patrice has been involved with theatre both on stage and backstage since 2009. Currently working mostly with wigs, hair, and makeup, she has experience on a range of boards and departments including being a previous NextGen representative for Musical Theatre NZ. 

Her Court Theatre credits include Fun Home, Disney’s The Little Mermaid JR., and wig maintenance for Zoe Buckland’s styling in Something Rotten!. Some of her other theatre credits include the New Zealand premiere of Wicked, Priscilla Queen of the Desert, Matilda the Musical, That Bloody Woman, and Kinky Boots with Showbiz Christchurch. Patrice is proud to have worked with Variety Theatre Ashburton, GMG Productions, Play Space Productions, Methven Theatre Company, South Otago Theatrical, and CentreStage Rolleston. 

Patrice is also an Executive Producer for One Dollar Genre, a local Ōtautahi film group making a short film each month based on genres decided by their patrons. This mahi includes a lot of producing and creating special FX makeup looks which is a lot of fun for Patrice. 

Outside of the arts, Patrice is a Sustainability student at the University of Canterbury majoring in Indigenous Knowledge and Sustainable Partnerships alongside Social Action, Global and Community Development. Community and honouring Te Tiriti are at the core of her values, and she has a special interest in freshwater in the Waitaha region. 

Patrice is excited to have her Court Theatre styling debut with Strictly Ballroom The Musical being such a large, camp and hilarious production filled with phenomenal talent.
