Masks Required Show
We strongly encourage mask wearing at all performances, but during the matinee of Flagons and Foxtrots at 2pm on Saturday 17 September, it will be compulsory to wear a mask at all times (unless eating and drinking). This means you must keep your mask on in the auditorium. This performance remains a Masks Required show, as promoted and planned, despite the changes to Government mandates on 14 September 2022.
Here at The Court, we want everyone to be able to enjoy the magic of theatre. The work we produce is designed for everyone and a special Masks Required Show enables us to make theatre accessible to all the members of our community who otherwise may not feel comfortable coming along to the theatre.

COVID-19 and Vaccination Information
The Court Theatre under current Covid-19 traffic light setting
Vaccination Passes are no longer required:
Under the current covid-19 ‘red’ traffic light setting, The Court Theatre now no longer requires visitors to have a current My Vaccine Pass for entry.
However, all visitors eight-years-old and over (as per Ministry of Health guidelines) are required to bring and wear a mask indoors within The Court Theatre premises. This applies whether in the auditorium, the foyer or the classroom. Unless you are medically exempt from wearing a mask, these can only be removed while eating or drinking.
These changes will enable us to maximise opportunities to operate at capacity, and as safely as possible, for our audience members, staff and cast members.
For more information, please visit the Covid-19 Update section of our website. For FAQ in regard to COVID-19 and how it will affect your visit with us please visit here.
For more information, please refer to the Government's COVID-19 website for the most up to date information.
The Court Theatre and Vaccine Certificates
Under the COVID-19 Protection Framework, more commonly called the traffic light system, to be introduced soon, the Government has mandated that indoor events (such as performances) will require staff and customers to be fully vaccinated.
Once the Ministry of Health advises that Canterbury can move to the traffic light system, The Court Theatre will require visitors to have a current vaccination certificate for entry to shows, or to access food or beverage, for people 12-years-old and over. This will enable us to maximise opportunities to operate at capacity, and as safely as possible, for our audience members, staff and cast members.
We will follow Government guidelines pertaining to the use of exemption certificates.
If you are not vaccinated by the time of your booked performance, then we will follow our re-booking (for a performance after you have been fully vaccinated) or refund process.
The implementation for the COVID-19 Protection Framework is still in development. While this progresses, we want to give everyone enough time to get fully vaccinated so that, once it is implemented, we can begin to share our community life again.
You can find more information about vaccination certificates here.

Our priority is the safety and wellbeing of our show attendees and supporters, artists, staff and the wider community.
