Te Ani Hinetekura Nga Wai E Rua Bidois-Solomon (Ngāti Ranginui, Ngāi te Rangi, Ngāti Raukawa ki te Tonga)

Te Ani graduated from Toi Whakaari in 2022. She has a background in performance, having annually participated in Hui Aranga, an event held in different cities across Te Ika a Maui every Easter weekend where Māori from all over the motu come together and perform kapa haka. Te Ani was in the lead cast of Gate Crash, a short film by Paloma Schneideman, which was selected as one of New Zealand’s Best in NZIFF 2022. The Haka Party Incident is Te Ani’s first
professional stage production and well within her kaupapa as she aspires to bring voice to the stories of her culture and people.
