Sheree Waitoa 3

Sheree Waitoa has been broadcasting in radio for 20 years as a radio announcer and has recently stepped away from the microphone to become the Programme Director for TahuFM. Whilst her day job is broadcasting, Sheree also has extensive experience in television as a presenter and cultural advisor and voice actor for Māori Television.

Sheree Waitoa was the sound designer and live musician for three productions of He Kura E Huna Ana written by Hōhepa Waitoa 2015 - 2018, and played a ‘tipuna’ in the 2016 main stage production at the Court Theatre Waiora: Te Ū Kai Pō - The Homeland written and directed by Hone Kouka.

Sheree Waitoa is also a singer/songwriter who has co-produced 3 albums in te reo Māori and English, one of which was nominated in 3 categories at the 2011 Māori Music Awards for Best Female Vocalist, Best Traditional Album and Best Song by a Māori Artist. She also has travelled throughout NZ as a master of ceremony for numerous events as well as performing as solo artist for her original work.
