Since graduating in Theatre Studies from the University of Waikato and in Acting from Toi Whakaari: New Zealand Drama School in 2013, Keagan has been living and working in Wellington.
Her favourite roles so far have been Smeraldina in A Servant to Two Masters (Circa Theatre); Titania in A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Bright Orange Walls); and Othello in Othello (The Lord Lackbeards Touring Company). More recently she co-directed Frank Wedekind’s Spring Awakening; performed in the acclaimed Duncan Sarkies/Jemaine Clement radio podcast series, The Mysterious Secrets of Uncle Bertie’s Botanarium; played a supporting role on Disney’s 2016 remake of the film Pete’s Dragon; and performed in numerous independent productions around Wellington, including a production of Caryl Churchill’s Love and Information, for which she received a nomination for Female Newcomer of the Year at the 2016 Wellington Theatre Awards.
Keagan has recently been accepted into the Master of Arts in Acting at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London, and is currently fundraising for tuition fees in the hopes of beginning her studies there in September this year.
