  Enjoy delicious food and drink at The Court with scrumptious kai from G&T Catering! Our foyer, including the bar and kai, will be open from 5pm. Food orders are to be made at the Coffee Bar. 

  Please note: you cannot bring your own food to The Court Theatre, however any food purchased on-site, excluding hot food, may be taken into the auditorium.

• Spankie Jackzon (MC)

  Spankie made herstory as the first drag queen to win two drag television competition franchises simultaneously. She first stole the hearts of audiences in 2020 by winning House of Drag Season 2, New Zealand’s own version of Drag Race. Spankie’s unique ability to care for her fellow cast members and use her creative skills to cleverly approach each task earned her the coveted House of Drag Crown. But that wasn’t enough for this queen! Drawing on her strengths and knowledge, Spankie once again took the crown in RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under Season 2 2022. (Yes, it’s all about the seasons with this Queen.)

  Spankie is not just a talented performer, but also a passionate advocate for the LGTBIQ+ communities. She has been the roving reporter for Wellington International Pride Parade for four years, entertaining crowds of up to 50,000 through camera, live stream, and hosting duties. She has also produced and hosted numerous events for Palmerston North City council, including the famous Light it Up Palmy – Candles in the Park. Spankie is in high demand headlining multiple events across Australia, New Zealand and soon the World.

  But Spankie doesn’t just stick to the big cities. She’s willing to bring her love and talents to small towns like Tokoroa, Turangi, Echuca – even Wollongong! After all, she was raised in a small town in New Zealand where sheep outnumbered the residents and there were four seasons in one day. And let’s not forget Feilding, the place where Spankie was raised – what a character!

  Being raised in a small town has instilled in Spankie a desire to uplift those who feel they have little, either emotionally or physically. She never forgets where she comes from and is always willing to share the love, the sheep, the neighbour’s lemons off their tree, and even her mother’s jandals.

  With her naughty but nice humor, powerful live vocals, zestful personality and her heart always guiding her, Spankie can take an ordinary event and make it truly extraordinary. Spankie is sure to leave you spellbound!

  Mrs. Kasha Davis shares her coming out story, sobriety journey & jazzy performance history sprinkled with her highly favored songs and “Dad jokes in a dress”!

  Her stories are relatable, and performances intertwine forgiveness, determination, motivation and self-acceptance for audiences of all ages.

  Mrs. Kasha Davis aka Ed Popil is grateful for a happy home with husband of 20 years, Steve “Mr Davis” , dog Max, and two hard working, healthy adult stepdaughters and son in law. 

  Mrs. Kasha Davis travels her cabaret performances, Drag Brunches, college bingos and positivity talks but nothing is more soul satisfying than work with her story hour for children entitled IMAGINATION STATION coming soon to TV! 

• Captain Kidd

  Australia’s leading Boylesque Circus hybrid, major  international brat boy! Second generation Carny and Las Vegas King of Burlesque 2011.

  He has toured the nation and globe for the past 10 years forging a unique Aussie flavour amongst festivals,  Spiegel tents, night clubs and theatres and winning awards along the way.

  His signature acts that have graced stages worldwide blend circus, burlesque, clown and pure risqué showmanship. He has featured in productions such as ‘Feasting on Flesh’ Sydney Opera House, a resident Boylesque fixture in The Famous Spiegel tent, Guest artist in the acclaimed ‘Comic Strip’, ‘La Clique’, Late Night lounge @ The Studio and Ali Mcgregors late night variety, a core member of the renowned Brisbane company POLYTOXIC, has starred in the recent re birth of La Clique Royale – Edinburgh Fringe and an iconic co creator and artist  in the award winning production BRIEFS – All Male All Vaudeville All Trash! Which recently toured the UK and Ireland.

  Awards in the trophy room are: Melbourne Fringe- Best Circus, Circus Oz award and independent producer Award ‘Briefs’, BHOF 2011- Best Boylesque – Most Dazzling, Perth Fringe 2011- Best Circus, Busties 2012-Best Troupe – Best Boylesque, Perth Fringe 2012- Best Circus

  He has collaborated and worked alongside musicians, actors and comedians such as Gotye, Meow Meow, Amander Palmer, Margaret Cho, Le Gateau Chocolât, Bob Downe, Ali McGregor, Mikelangelo, The Hoff and the late Billie Brown!

• Cameron Clayton

  Cameron studied at the National Academy of Singing and Dramatic Arts (Bachelor of Performing Arts).

  His previous credits include Cats (Showbiz & AMICII Productions), RENT (AMICII Productions), The Witches of Eastwick (Riccarton Players), Shrek the Musical (Showcase Entertainment), Flagons and Foxtrots, RENT, Cinderella, Something Rotten! and most recently Strictly Ballroom: The Musical (The Court Theatre)

  Cameron’s television credits include Sextortion (2020) and David Lomas Investigates (2021).

  Cameron has also performed in country music throughout NZ, Australia, and USA, and was awarded Gore Gold Guitar Award Overall Winner (2004), NZ Entertainer of the Year (2005), and Trans-Tasman Entertainer of the Year (2001).
