All you need to do is pick whether you want to see The Court Jesters attempt a musical, Shakespeare play, Witchcraft and Wizardry, Jane Austen adaptation, romantic comedy or Battle Royale!
Make a night of it by booking dinner at the theatre! BASE @ The Court will be offering a range of pizzas, platters & snacks that you can pre-order when booking your tickets online. Please note: you cannot bring your own food to the theatre.
Scriptless Attempts a Musical
An evening of dinner and a little Broadway glitz with six of our best improv singers creating one entire story for your input. Including all those old musical favourites of people dancing in the streets, lovers singing into people's faces because you are feeling so many emotions and crazy psychedelic disney visuals*.
*definitely don’t get your hopes up for those... limited budget and all
Scriptless Attempts Shakespeare
The Jesters will create an entire story as if it was written by the bard himself. This show is guaranteed to contain warring houses, poisoned lovers, swapped twins, family ghosts, witches, tempests and random as hell uses of “thee and thou”.
Scriptless Attempts Witchcraft & Wizardry
Six Jesters will be gifted wands and robes and sent off to magic school. With your input they will create an all new story of kids solving adult problems with magic. This show may or may not contain trolls, dragons, unicorns & The Christchurch Wizard.
Scriptless Attempts Jane Austen
In true Austen style, the Jesters will create a story of a strong young woman, manipulative mothers, handsome cads and maybe even love. Six of our most learned Jesters will take what you give them and create an all new novel in the Jane Austen canon.
Scriptless Attempts a Romantic Comedy
After 6 weeks of non-stop NETFLIX, the Jesters will pour their vast knowledge into creating an all new Kiwi romantic comedy right before your eyes. Including all those stereotypical things you know and expect from your romcom, including the clumsy best friend, the awkward date, the mad dash to the airport to confess their love, sleeping with your best friend’s dad only to realise no one approves but you have fallen in love with his dad jokes... ohh am I still typing...?
Scriptless Attempts Battle Royale
Several Jesters will take to the stage to battle it out for who is the most clever and funniest - decided on by the audience! Come along and see hilarious moments and, even better, scenes where performers crash and burn...*
*No one will be burned for real in the making of this show.
