Location
The Court Theatre is located at the end of Bernard Street, off the Hagley Park end of Lincoln Road in Addington.
The Court Theatre is located close to Orangetheory Stadium and Christchurch Arena, therefore please be aware that when events are taking place at these venues, traffic in the area can become congested. We recommend arriving earlier to avoid traffic and secure your parking spot.
The building is near railway tracks and you can sometimes feel and hear the trains when they move past the theatre.

Food and Drink at The Court
Enrich your Court Theatre experience by enjoying the delicious food and drink options at The Court before, during and after your show.
We have fabulous pizza and grazing options right here for you, so you can arrive in plenty of time to relax and refuel before the show begins. Please check the page of the show you are attending; some shows have special or limited kai menu. Our freshly made food options are provided onsite by Tom, Henry and the team at G&T Catering.
Giesen's @ The Court, at the far end of the foyer, offers a range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks for audiences to enjoy before and after the show and, of course, during the interval. Many productions at The Court have a special themed cocktail, so why not try something a little different – and maybe a little daring!
Our coffee bar also offers a range of snacks and drinks, with an in-house barista ready to whip up your favourite beverage.
Please note: you cannot take any hot food into the auditorium or bring your own food to The Court.

What to Wear
Many audience members do enjoy dressing up for their visit the theatre while some come straight from work and others will take a more casual approach. There is no specific dress code for a visit to The Court, though we encourage you to wear what you feel most comfortable in. A 'smart casual' approach always works for a night at the theatre. If you're attending in winter, it can get cold in the foyer so we would recommend bringing a coat.
-
Accessibility
Here at The Court, we want everyone to be able to enjoy the magic of theatre. Therefore, we are well prepared to help those requiring special access. Please click here to find out more.
-
Mobile Phones
To avoid disrupting the performance please remember to switch off your mobile phones. Please be aware the glow and vibration from your phone can disrupt fellow audience members around you and often the performers.
-
Photography
Please do not take photos or videos inside the theatre, even for Snapchat. This is to protect the designs of each show and can disturb the performers and audience around you.
We encourage you instead to take your photos in our foyer pre-or-post-show, possibly while you're enjoying kai or a drink from Giesens @ The Court!
