Hailing from Whakatane, Wiremu is an emerging theatre actor and graduate of the Whitireia Performance Centre in Wellington (Diploma in Performing Arts, singing).
Wiremu was last seen on The Court Theatre’s stage playing the role of a Tipuna in Hone Kouka’s Waiora: Te Ū Kai Pō - The Homeland. His other theatre credits include Smokey Joe’s Café (Whitireia Performance Centre); Noah Claypole in Oliver! (Upper Hutt Musical Theatre) and The Mystery of Edwin Drood (Circa Theatre).
His commercial performance credits include the Investec Rugby Sevens; Super 12: Matariki Festival; Hutt Valley Sports Awards and WOMAD: The World Festival.
Wiremu’s film credits include a stand-in role in the upcoming film Mortal Engines with Hungry City Ltd.
Wiremu is now studying Travel & Tourism Management with the New Zealand School of Tourism and in the future hopes to run a touring production company.
