Toa Siulangapo

Toa is a quiet individual whose safe place is behind an instrument. 

Graduating from Vision College (Diploma in Contemporary Music) in 2013 where she majored in guitar and drums, she found herself going to Auckland the following year to work with Iaheto Ah Hi and Leilani Clarke as a musician in Tautai of Digital Winds (Kinetic Wayfinding). She has since been the music director for Speak Your Truth 2.0 (No Limits) and most recently Honest? (No Limits). Toa is currently the music director for Y|NOT collective. She has been the musician in every show they have showcased, such as The Fahu and recently La’u Gagana in Wellington for the Kia Mau Festival.

Toa is of Samoan/Tongan descent and is looking forward to being back on stage sharing the stories and music of our people. She is still yet to find her voice, but in the meantime, her music will speak louder than words.
