Steve joined The Court Theatre in 2006, following a 12 year journey running Christchurch Symphony Orchestra’s sponsorship and funding programme, during which time the CSO moved from a part-time professional group of players to a core of 35 salaried musicians.
Prior to his foray into the arts, Steve had a variety of senior positions in the insurance industry, including a time as Marketing Manager of the AMP Society. Steve’s role at the Theatre is to source sponsorship from corporates and business organisations, and to solicit grants from gaming trusts and charitable funders.
Outside of The Court Theatre, Steve enjoys the outdoors and during the weekends you will find him running, mountain biking, landscaping, gardening, on the squash court, or socialising with family and friends. That is when he is not hosting sponsors at the Theatre, or entertaining them at one of the fine establishments which support The Court through their most generous contra facilities!
