Simon is a BAFTA nominated British screenwriter and playwright. His previous playwriting credits include Wasted; Goldhawk Road; Bad Company; Shelter; Sugar Sugar; Accomplices; A Prayer for Owen Meany; The Associate; The Escapologist; Under the Black Flag; Prick up Your Ears and The Mighty Walzer. His current commission, for Birmingham Repertory Theatre, is The Rock.
His film and television credits include Christie Malry’s Own Double Entry; Beau Brummell; The Yellow House; Sex in the City and Mrs M and Mrs F.
Simon was also writer in residence at both the University of Essex and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Many of his early plays, which he also appeared in, were toured extensively, including Wigan Kiss; Banjaxed; Bombers and Mash; The Home Front and Moll Flanders.
