Sahra brings broad and extensive experience in the Arts, small business and the workings of government to The Court Theatre.
Sahra has a professional background in PR, communications, media publicity, event management, corporate sponsorship and private giving. Over 20 years in her own consultancy business she worked with some of New Zealand’s foremost art organisations in both operational and governance roles including New Zealand Opera, The New Zealand International Festival of the Arts, NZ School of Dance, DANZ, Footnote Dance, Wellington Orchestra and Downstage Theatre. Her experience also extends more widely to senior strategic communications and project management roles in central and local government agencies, and NGOs/not-for-profit organisations spanning the health, energy and resources, property, tertiary education and social services sectors. Sahra was a trustee of the Victoria University of Wellington Foundation, a board member of DANZ and inaugural trustee of The Blumhardt Foundation.
Coming to work for The Court after a spell working in other sectors, has reignited Sahra’s love of the Arts in Aotearoa and particularly her passion for the performing arts.
