Robert Hood is an artist who lives and works in Christchurch. He is employed as a technician at The Court Theatre and Hamlet: The Video Game (the stage show) is his first stage design for the Theatre.
He completed his MFA in 2011 and BFA Sculpture, 1999, both from the Ilam School of Fine Arts, University of Canterbury. Hood was the recipient of the Sir Robertson Stuart Post Graduate Scholarship, Ethel Susan Jones Fine Arts Post Graduate Travel Scholarship, University of Canterbury, 2013 and Olivia Spencer Bower Fellow, 2007.
His art work has been exhibited widely including most recently a 2016 exhibition at Jonathan Smart Gallery, Christchurch. His art work is held in a number of public and private collections including the Auckland Art Gallery, Christchurch Art Gallery and the Canterbury University.
