Philip Aldridge2

After reading history at university Philip had a classical acting training at The Bristol Old Vic Theatre School and subsequently appeared in over 50 productions on stage in the UK. At The Court he has appeared in Year of the Rat; Babylon Heights; The Great Art War; White Rabbit, Red Rabbit; The Hound of the Baskervilles and The Ladykillers.

His television credits include The Bill; Boon; Silent Witness; Emmerdale; Eastenders; the comedy revue KYTV and the remake of The Blood Donor.

In the 1990s Philip left acting and the theatre for a career in corporate finance where he worked in early stage finance in London and New York. He returned to the theatre as Chief Executive of The Court in 2005 and subsequently served as Chairman of the Bank of New Zealand in Canterbury for five years.

He was appointed an Officer of the New Zealand Order of Merit in 2012.
