VAUGHAN Phil 2016

Phil began his career in broadcasting as a radio and television presenter. For 18 years he hosted nationwide breakfast radio shows on ZM, The Breeze and More FM and presented various television programmes like Good MorningWhere in the World is Carmen San Diego?Mountain Dew on the Edge and What Now? and he called the numbers on the Big Wednesday Lotto draw. Phil also worked behind the scenes in numerous television and film productions both in New Zealand and overseas for the BBC UK as a Writer, Production Manager and First AD (Assistant Director).

Leaving all the broadcasting work behind eight years ago Phil has been full time acting since, performing in theatres all throughout New Zealand. Highlights include: The Motor Camp; Peninsula and The Pitmen Painters (Circa Theatre); The Tutor (Court Theatre); God of Carnage and Outside Mullingar (Fortune Theatre); Flipside (Herald Theatre); The Hound of the Baskervilles (Centrepoint Theatre). Phil last appeared at The Court Theatre as Steve Heidebrecht in August: Osage County.

Phil’s television credits include The StripInsider’s Guide to HappinessGirl vs BoyHarry and Cosh (BBC UK) and Brokenwood Mysteries. He also voices radio plays and short stories for National Radio and has appeared in numerous television commercials both in New Zealand and overseas.
