Matthew is a current student of the New Zealand National Academy of Singing and Dramatic Art (NASDA), studying towards a Bachelor of Performing Arts. Frankenstein will be his first production with The Court Theatre.
Originally from Auckland, Matthew moved to Christchurch in 2019 to begin his study at NASDA. He has been involved in a number of productions including; On The Town; The Book of Everything; I love you, You're Perfect, Now Change (NASDA), Les Misérables (Youth Theatreworks), Pride and Prejudice; Phantom of the Opera; A Midsummer Night's Dream (Saint Kentigern College), Whistle Down the Wind and Romeo & Juliet (Papakura Theatre Company). Matthew also appeared in the television Series I Am… (Screentime NZ) in 2018.
He also is the current stage manager for Showbiz Christchurch's Way Off Broadway concerts and is a member of Equity New Zealand.
