Margaret-Mary has been active in the performing arts industry for 35 years. She is an experienced actor, director, tutor, producer and theatre arts manager and is currently the Artistic Director of TAPAC (The Auckland Performing Arts Centre). After training in Australia and the UK, Margaret-Mary furthered her training with Ecole Philippe Gaulier and City & Guilds of London Advanced Drama, and performed as a freelance actor in theatre, film and TV for 25 years.
In 2001 she turned to directing. Margaret-Mary has directed for the Silo Theatre, Auckland Theatre Company, Co. Theatre Physical, numerous independent productions and houseofhudson, with whom she is creating a new work-in-development, The Secret Thief.
Margaret-Mary actively initiates programmes and new work the professional sector. As the Artistic Director of TAPAC, she is passionate about providing the industry with support and a platform in which to creatively explore, create and present.
Margaret-Mary continues to teach workshops for ATC, Massive Theatre Co., Auckland University, Auckland Shakespeare Company, TAPAC and others.
