Lori

Lori Dungey has been a professional improvisor, actor, writer, director and tutor for over 36 years. She came to Auckland from Vancouver for the International Theatresports Commonwealth Games Festival in 1990 and never went home.  She became the Artistic Director for The Improvisors in Wellington.  She's currently a Creative Director, performer and trainer with ConArtists, formerly Theatresports Auckland.

She’s a two-time international Theatresports champion and in 2005; her NZ team was crowned ‘Masters of the Universe’ at Edmonton’s International Improvaganza.   Lori has devised and performed in over 50 improvised productions - both long and short form, including Suspect: A Game of Murder, an improvised murder mystery that's been performed throughout Canada, Sweden, USA, Australia and NZ.  In 2011 She went to Adelaide for a sellout season of Austen Found: The Undiscovered Musicals of Jane Austen – long form improvised play in the style of Jane Austen.  Other Long Forms with ConArtists; Enid Untold: Five Go Mad on Improv,  Oliver Twisted, Charles Dickens inspired  and for the apocalypse fans - New Zombieland: An Improvised Musical.

Lori was a hobbit in Lord of the Rings and this role has seen her go to Germany, yearly, to MC and perform at a fantasy convention where 4,000 fans gather for MagicCon.  She's also an aquaerobics instructor where she shouts a lot at lovely older women.
