Laura is a graduate from the National Academy of Singing and Dramatic Art. She moved to Australia in 2009 after landing the role of Buddy’s wife in the Australian tour of Buddy Holly. She went on to perform as the standby Elphaba in the Australian tour of Wicked.
Laura is a pianist and songwriter and featured in the first season of The Voice Australia, reaching the final five on “Team Joel”. One of her proudest moments was singing the New Zealand national anthem alongside the All Blacks in the 2012 Bledisloe Cup in Sydney.
She was part of the Australian workshop of Atomic – the Musical before it premiered Off-Broadway and recently performed in Painted From Memory at the Sydney City Recital Hall and Queensland and Adelaide Cabaret Festivals. This year she also featured in the new Australian musical The New Black and travels internationally on cruise ships starring in Rock Rhapsody, showcasing the hits of Queen.
Laura has just finished playing Maureen in a sold out season of Rent at the Hayes Theatre in Sydney. She is thrilled to be playing the inimitable role of Mary Poppins at The Court alongside fellow NASDA graduates, as well as the teachers and actors who inspired her to pursue a career in theatre.
