Jack Shatford is a Otautahi-born music theatre performer and creative. He is a graduate of the Western Australian of Performing Arts (WAAPA).

Jack’s performance credits have included Next to Normal (The Court Theatre), Madagascar the Musical Australia and NZ Tour, Cinderella (GMG Productions), Rudolpho in Matilda the Musical (Showbiz Christchurch), Shrek the Musical TYA NZ and Middle Eastern Tours (Showcase Entertainment Group) He Says, She Says, and Severely Queer: It’s A Pirate Life (Blackboard Theatre Collective). He was a soloist on The Isolation Mixtape Vol. 2 with the Christchurch Symphony Orchestra and Blackboard Theatre Collective, which can be found on Spotify.

During their studies, Jack credits included Herman in Sweet Charity, Posner in The History Boys and Dance Captain for Strictly Ballroom. Upon graduation in 2019, he was the recipient of the Music Theatre International Australasian Award.

Their creative credits include assistant director for On the Town (NASDA), Elf Jnr and co-director of Peter Pan Jr (JK Performing Arts). Jack also works an acting coach and dance tutor, and has been a core tutor at the New Zealand Boys Dance Convention for the past three years.

They are a proud member of Equity New Zealand.
