After earning a Bachelor of Arts in English and Gender Studies in 2005, Grace went on to graduate from Nelson Marlborough Institute of Technology with a Diploma in Visual Arts (Costume Design) in 2007.
Since then Grace has been a finalist in The World of WearableArt™ (WOW) Awards and has worked as a painter/decorator, a dressmaker and a furniture finisher. She has been involved with Creative Junk, the New Zealand Swap-O-Rama-Rama creative clothes recycling event, the Dunedin Lantern Festival and Original Scripts Drama School. Most recently she worked as a set dresser and prop maker on the movie The Stolen.
As well as costume design work, Grace is raising a daughter and studying towards a Bachelor of Applied Visual Arts at Ara Institute.
