Gil Eva Craig

Gil is an Audio Engineer and Sound Designer for theatre based in Wellington New Zealand. As well as working as a live sound engineer at Western Audio Engineering, she has an extensive background in music mixing and production. She has also written original music for and designed sound for several theatre productions. Recent live sound projects are Phoenix Foundation, Jim Henson Retrospecticle with New Zealand Symphony Orchestra, Star Wars with the New Zealand Symphony OrchestraGreenPeace concert featuring Tiki Taane, Don McGlashan shows.

As well as The Māori Sidesteps Collective Gil works regularly with Pink Floyd Experience and Wellington International Ukulele Orchestra. Gil has been nominated for several Chapman Trip theatre awards, and won best sound design award in 2010 for The December Brother. She also mixed Tui award winning albums Trouble on the Waterfront by The Waterfront Collective, and Circus of Fleas by Fleabite and tracked Tui winning album Dog Breath by FatCat & Fishface.
