Gideon (Solosolo, Samoa) is a graduate of Toi Whakaari: New Zealand Drama School (Bachelor of Performing Arts: Acting).
Previous television credits include Camp Be Better, and film credits include Grafted.
Gideon is also an avid mover, having danced for Le Moana in a Pacific contemporary piece called Tatau directed by Tupe Lualua, as well as 14 Malone Road by Tupua Tigafua.
Gideon’s love of storytelling came through the great oratory skills of his father Eric Geoffrey Daniel Smith. His ability to transform an ordinary conversation to an adventure, a memory, or make you feel something inspired Gideon, sparking the love to tell great stories like this one.
Being raised in Christchurch, Gideon has seen the stories and the people get pushed to the edge of the room. He is thrilled to be an ally and honoured to serve this story, bringing these truths to centre in such a light.
