Born in Christchurch, Emma started playing piano from a young age under the careful supervision of her musical father. At the age of 12, she picked up the electric bass and played with her brother in rock bands at all age venues. Almost ten years on she graduated from Christchurch Jazz School with a Bachelor of Musical Arts and is an active member of the Christchurch music scene.
Emma has played in a variety of musical situations from David Bowie Tribute bands to recording sessions to being a member of the Christchurch All Girl Big Band and she enjoys the diversity of music which That Bloody Woman delivers.
Emma now continues to perform as a Christchurch-based freelancing musician.
