Ellie Neal

Ellie will graduate from Toi Whakaari: NZ Drama School at the end of 2016. At the beginning of the year she travelled to LA to attend The Lee Strasberg Film and Theatre Institute for an internship of intensive classes under the tutelage of David Strasberg.

Ellie’s musical theatre credits include: The Wizard of Oz; Disco Inferno; Into the Woods (Toi Whakaari) and Sophie in Mamma Mia (Wellington Musical Theatre.)

A highlight of her youthful career was when she opened her own theatre company, Vision Theatre NZ, and starred in it’s first production, The Last 5 Years, under the musical direction of West End’s Mark Dorrell. The show achieved rave reviews and sold out audiences.

Ellie also has a love for screen acting and has appeared in James Ashcroft’s short films The Usher and Marching. She also starred in Chaz Harris’ short film Awake which will be included in the New Zealand feature film Encounters to be released in 2017. She also played Morgan in the post apocalyptic web series End of Term (TVNZ On Demand).

Ellie is represented by Johnson and Laird Management and is a proud member of Equity NZ.
