Colin joined the Court Theatre’s front of house team in February 2017, after being in hotel management and conference sales for the last seven years. With an extensive background in the hospitality industry, Colin brings to the Court Theatre his experience of cafes, bars, wineries, nightclubs and restaurants. Securing this position at the Court has been “a breath of fresh air” for Colin, after many years in a desk job.
For a while, Colin focused his career in fine dining and luxury lodges, which lead him to hold positions with numerous renowned Christchurch establishments such as Rotherham’s of Riccarton, Retour, Saggio di Vino and Huntley House. Colin’s passion and knowledge of wine was a considerable asset during this period and he will most happily discuss all things vinous with anyone and everyone.
Colin’s role is to oversee, lead and support our front of house, from bar staff to ushers, and to ensure our audiences have a great experience at the theatre from the moment they walk through the doors to the final curtain call.
