Chris Symon

Chris is a graduate of the National Academy of Singing and Dramatic Art (NASDA) with a Bachelor of Performing Arts.

His previous Court Theatre credits include The Mikado; Blood Brothers and Jesus Christ Superstar. 

His other theatre credits include The Phantom of the Opera; Mamma Mia; Hairspray; Sister Act; Les Misérables (Showbiz Christchurch); The Rocky Horror Picture Show; Mary Poppins and Sister Act (Hamilton Operatic Society). He also appeared in Madam Butterfly (New Zealand Opera); School Dance (Centrepoint Theatre) and toured Australia with The Cat in the Hat (Showcase Entertainment).

Some of Chris’ career highlights include working directly with the creator, Richard O’Brien, on The Rocky Horror Picture Show and creating his own one man show Chris’ Café Cabaret with Blackboard Theatre Collective.

Chris is a proud member of Equity New Zealand.
