Celia Mann

Celia is a drama and media studies teacher at Kaiapoi High School. She works as a Stage Manager at The Court Theatre during the school holidays, managing the dynamic madness of the kids’ shows.

Having dabbled in the theatre for over 20 years, Celia loves being involved in every aspect of a production. Born in Zimbabwe, Celia has lived and worked in England, Wales, Singapore, Thailand and… Timaru. She has previously acted and stage managed with the South Canterbury Drama League, the Playhouse Theatre in Timaru, and The Repertory Theatre in Christchurch prior to February 2011.

Celia began her Court Theatre career as Stage Manager for The Elves and the Shoemaker in 2012, and has since worked on the children’s show The Three Little Pigs and the Court Jesters’ The Early Early Late Show: Man’s Best Friend. More recently, she has stage managed Mrs McGinty and the Bizarre Plant, “starring” as the puppet cabbage one and two, and Puss in Boots.
