Cameron is a graduate of the Ara institute of Canterbury (Bachelor of Music). Since graduating in 2014, he has become a very busy performer and regularly tours New Zealand and overseas.

He was the original drummer in acclaimed NZ musical That Bloody Woman, performing in its debut season at Christchurch Arts Festival in 2015; its seasons at Auckland Theatre Company and The Court Theatre in 2016; and its national tour in 2017. His other theatre credits include Cabaret (MUSOC) and Grease (Ben McDonald Productions). Hedwig and the Angry Inch is Cameron’s second show at The Court Theatre.

Cameron is a member of the New Zealand Army Band which has seen him perform at The World Band Festival in Lucerne, Switzerland; WW1 commemorations in Le Quesnoy, France; and later this year at the prestigious Edinburgh Military Tattoo. 

He has performed with such names as James Morrison and Ali McGregor; and has performed in support slots for bands such as Dragonforce (UK) and Lord (AU). In his various endeavours he has enjoyed performances at the Christchurch and Nelson Jazz Festivals, Taranaki and Tauranga Arts Festivals, Auckland Cabaret Festival, The World Buskers Festival and University of Canterbury Orientation Week. 

Cameron is a metalhead at heart and is proud of his work with metal band Awakened Inferno, including two self-produced CD releases; EP Tear it a New One (2012) and full-length album Fire in the Hole (2015). He is also a passionate teacher with a thriving private studio in Swannanoa.
