Alice Andersen

Alice is a youth worker, an educator, an entrepreneur and a poet. She has joined The Court Theatre as the presenter for Crash Bash 2018.

Alice was the 2017 writer-in-residence at Hagley Community College. She is the co-founder of Faultline Poetry Collective and a mentor for Rising Voices. Alice has performed at WORD festival here in Christchurch, The New Hope Poetry Festival and the Nuyorican Poets Cafe in New York, as well as on countless other stages all over the world, talking about her feelings to strangers.

Alice is the former co-director of the CHCH Under 5’s Collective. She is a development coach and programme manager for Inspiring Stories, and passionate about supporting Christchurch’s young social entrepreneurs. Alice is the lead facilitator of Qtopia, a social support service for LGBTQIA+ youth and a regular arts educator for the youth programme at CoCA.
