Aimee Reed

Aimee is a graduate of the Design & Arts College of New Zealand (Advanced Diploma in Fashion Design). After being named the Emerging Fashion Designer of the Year in 2005 and becoming the New Zealand young fashion designer representative in China in 2006, Aimee’s career has gone from strength to strength.

Aimee has worked on numerous Southern Opera and Court Theatreproductions including Cabaret; Grease; The Women; Amadeus; One Man, Two Guvnors and Peter Pan. She has worked in the USA where she took up the role of head costume designer for Buck’s Rock Performing and Creative Arts Camp. Here she designed costumes for productions including The Producers and Twelfth Night.

In 2016 Aimee worked as a costumer on the indie film The Stolen. She has since worked as a costumer on Australian TV series Wanted 2; TV commercials for the Superbowl, Visa and Hyundai and most recently on the Paramount film, Mission Impossible 6.

Aimee currently lives in Queenstown and enjoys the balance of working in the performing arts industry and living in the mountains.
