In light of yesterday's announcement extending Alert Level 2, which restricts gatherings to a maximum of 100 people, some of our planned productions are unable to go ahead and unfortunately we have had to make some changes.

The good news is that we are able to reschedule Rants in the Dark to give us enough time for our situation to improve, and to get our artists safely to Christchurch. The new season will now run from 26 September to 3 October for one week.

Reluctantly, we have had to cancel Two Worlds, but we have been in touch with the Modern Māori Quartet and hope to be able to work with them in the future.

If you had already booked for Rants in the Dark, our team will be in touch this week with options for your tickets, including transferring your seats. Alternatively, you can email communications@courttheatre.org.nz with your chosen course of action, whether it's rescheduling to a specific date, receiving a credit, refund, or donating the value of your tickets to the theatre.

In the meantime, Scared Scriptless will be staged in the foyer with Level 2 safety measures in place. The Early Early Late Show will also be going ahead on 6 September in the foyer with Level 2 safety measures in place. Our education programme will be continuing with its well-practised safety measures.

These are indeed challenging times. Please be assured that The Court Theatre team is working hard to ensure that we have great entertainment options for you, that we can deliver in a safe and sustainable way.

Thank you for your support and patience. We look forward to welcoming you to The Shed for a fantastic night out in the near future.
