A gala night on the eve of the official opening of Jesus Christ Superstar attracted an audience of more than 380.
The first three week’s performances were watched by capacity audiences and bookings are coming in thick and fast for upcoming performances.
The night before the opening is traditionally reserved as a gala evening for show sponsors and their guests and in the pre-show speeches, Artistic Director Ross Gumbley held the crowd in his hand as he told them what they would see and experience.
He was clearly brimming with pride for the talented company of artists and artisans he inspires and leads.

Golden Healthcare Group Corporate Services Manager David Sidaway announced to the enthusiastic crowd that the Group had sponsored The Court for 11 years and would continue to back the summer production for the 2019/20 season.
Danny Schroder, representing Stuff/The Press, also a long-time sponsors of The Court, was pleased to welcome his guests and talk about the ongoing partnership of the two organisations.
