Rehearsals: 14 – 25 February 2022
Tour of Canterbury schools: 28 February – 2 April 2022
Kaikoura and Dunedin tour: 4 – 14 April 2022 (TBC)

Leader of the Pack is the 2022 stage production for Crash Bash to be toured to secondary schools in Canterbury by the Court Theatre. The theme of the production will explore conversations with young people on the risks associated with drink driving and speed, and the importance of passengers speaking up to resist peer pressure. Canterbury Police will accompany the tour providing their knowledge of road safety. Leader of the Pack will empower passengers to have a voice to protect themselves and their mates. The show, written by Eleanor Bishop and Karin McCracken (the creators of Yes, Yes, Yes), uses documentary theatre style techniques and live interaction with the audience to authentically connect to young people’s experiences. It combines live performance with filmed components.

We are currently accepting audition tapes from select applicants. Role information and audition scenes below.
