Drama-Classes

An opportunity for children and young people to develop performance and creative thinking skills. Each class runs for 8 weeks plus an end of term showcase and is taken by a professional theatre maker, participants will learn skills in acting, voice, devising and how to work creatively as part of a group.

  • Introduces the basic concepts of building performance and drama. A creative and fun session which will build confidence and increase skills.

  • Builds performance skills, introducing abstract and naturalistic theatre styles. Participants will develop their creative thinking and problem solving skills and learn to work as a group to create theatre.

Drama Teachers

Isaac-Pawson-2016

Isaac Pawson

Isaac graduated from NASDA in 2015 and has been teaching two drama classes this year. These include a class of 7-9 year-old drama students at The Court Theatre as well as an improv-based class for high school girls.

He was in The Court Theatre production Badjelly the Witch and has plans to continue performing around the country this year. He loves working with children and has had experience teaching in various holiday programmes in the past.

Georgina Briggs

Georgina trained as a performer at Rose Bruford College in London for three years and specialises in vocal experimentation. She has had over four years of experience working with children and young people in the UK, and has been performing on stage since she can remember.

Georgina finds it fascinating to work with the younger generation, as there is so much that can be learnt from the perspective of a youthful pair of eyes.
