“Let me introduce myself : Vernon Gregory Little. My best friend put a gun in his mouth and blew off his head; my classmates are dead and I’m being blamed for it…”

Things go from bad to worse for Vernon after his best friend murders sixteen of his classmates before turning the gun on himself. With nobody left to blame, Vernon becomes the town’s scapegoat and his pain spirals out of control with the arrival of television reporter Eulalio “Lally” Ledesma.

First nominated for an Olivier Award for Best New Play during its Young Vic première in 2007, Vernon God Little is both a dark and comic take on the commercialisation of horrific events, while simultaneously highlighting the importance of looking out for other people. This gripping and twisted tale of love, betrayal and unlikely friendships proves that desperate times can throw up the most unlikely of heroes.

Performed by The Court Youth Company, this play is the perfect vehicle for young actors to explore a topic that is terrifyingly relevant, comic and playful.
