This is the Kaleidoscope Season
Bigger, brighter and more colourful than before, this is the Meridian Energy 2018/2019 Season. Our vibrant season will be brought to life at The Court Theatre beginning with The Forge production Ideation in June.
This season will weave through what Artistic Director Ross Gumbley has described as, "a season of warmth, daring and excitement. A season composed of the stuff of life for the people of Ōtautahi".
Season Tickets are available now - a chance to secure your favourite seats for the entire 2018/2019 Meridian Energy Season. Season tickets can be purchased through The Court Theatre Box Office, by filling out the form in the back of the season brochure or online by clicking below.

How do I choose what night I'm attending?
Whether you fill out the form online, from the season brochure or with one of our box office team, you'll be asked to pick a night of the week that best suits you - that could be a Thursday for the earlier 6:30pm start, a Saturday night so that you can catch Scared Scriptless after the mainstage show or a 2pm Saturday matinee, whatever best suits you. We'll book your tickets for either the first or second occurrence of this day for each play's season so it'll be consistent throughout the season. Now you can't choose specific dates for each show as a subscriber but if a night that tickets have been issued for isn't perfect for you, then let's take a look at the next frequently asked question...
Can I can change my dates?
Yes, once a show opens for public sale we'll be more than happy to swap your tickets for another performance. There are a couple of caveats:
1. You'll need to bring in the original tickets so that we can resell them (or arrange them to be posted to us with at least 10 days before the original performance)
2. We need at least 48 hours notice. Changing nights is normally pretty simple and we're happy to help when we can, you can either pop in and see us to make arrangements or call the Box Office on 03 963 0870.
Can I add an extra ticket or two for some shows but not others?
Certainly, we call these companion bookings. You are more than welcome to add extra tickets to certain shows. They'll be charged at the standard pricing rather than your subscriber prices but it'll mean that we can find a better seating position to accommodate the extras for you. Companion bookings can be made via the form in the back of the 2018/2019 Meridian Energy Season Brochure but unfortunately aren't available through online subscriptions.
I've seen a show or event in the Season Brochure that isn't a part of subscriber packages, can I add that?
Unfortunately not every show in the season is available in subscriber packages. For events like the Fresh Ink readings it may be that they're just a bit too early in the year to be included. For others, like the Court Youth Company productions or collaborations with other producers, the organic way these productions evolve can often mean we don't always have all the details needed for these to go on sale this early in the year.
Keep an eye on courttheatre.org.nz and our facebook page to see when these productions go on sale - they'll then be available through the box office and on our website.
Can I buy a Season Ticket in the form of a gift voucher?
As a gift voucher, no. But do Season Tickets make great gifts? Definitely! We can't issue a series of vouchers or a credit that can be used to build a subscription but if you do purchase a subscription on behalf of someone else and the dates originally issued aren't perfect, then remember we're happy to change them.
