Crash Bash is an educational road safety programme touring secondary schools throughout February and March. This initiative is organised by Christchurch City Council in collaboration with New Zealand Police.
During 2016 students from across Ōtautahi were set the task of completing a series of driving challenges while being filmed by a camera crew and assessed by a driving instructor. The resulting clips will feature in the Crash Bash tour with each school hosting a performance uniquely created for them featuring their students. Our hosts Bianca and Josh will share the learning from the real life driving challenges and set each secondary school audience a series of bizarre and hilarious missions designed to share the skills of safe driving practices.
Crash Bash will communicate and debate with teenagers the importance of making safe driving choices for themselves and others as they move through the graduated licence system in an interactive and fun format.
The 2017 tour runs from 22 February – 31 March 2017
