Since graduating from the National Academy of Singing and Dramatic Art (NASDA) with a Bachelor of Performing Arts in 2012 and The Actors’ Program in 2013, Nomi has worked on numerous projects both on and off the stage.
Her previous Court Theatre credits include Much Ado About Nothing; Legally Blonde the Musical; Chicago and Jesus Christ Superstar. Her other theatre credits include Catch Me If You Can the Musical (Blackboard Theatre Collective) and Lysistrata (Auckland Theatre Company).
Nomi co-wrote and starred in Hungover, a musical comedy which had a successful season at the Basement Theatre in Auckland; directed BRAVADO! for the Auckland Theatre Company as part of the 2016 Next Big Thing festival and her solo cabaret PUSS took home three awards in the 2016 Short+Sweet festival, returning in 2018 to sold-out houses as part of the International Comedy Festival. Nomi is also the creator and host of the live performance pub quiz What The F*ck Is this?
As a producer, Nomi initiated and led the cabaret development program In Session which saw the creation of eight different full length cabaret shows. She has also worked in TV production on such shows as Jono and Ben and What Now!
Nomi is a proud co-founder and co-director of Blackboard Theatre Collective, a new theatre company based in Christchurch specialising in new musical theatre and hopes to continue to bring top quality musical theatre entertainment to New Zealand.
