Laurel is a graduate of the National Academy of Singing and Dramatic Art (Bachelor of Performing Arts). 

The Wind in the Willows is Laurel's debut performance at The Court Theatre. Her other theatre credits include Les Miserables; Wicked; An Evening with Rogers and Hammerstein; Hairspray (Showbiz Christchurch); Cabaret; Julius Caesar (NASDA) and Oliver Twist (Lyttelton Arts Factory).

Laurel has recently returned from New York, where she trained at Broadway Dance Centre as a part of their International Student Visa Program for three months. Since 2013, she has been invited to perform a historical speech at numerous conferences and commemorative events, all around New Zealand. Laurel is a proud member Equity New Zealand.
