DISNEY'S LITTLE MERMAID JR.
The Court Theatre is seeking expressions of interest for creatives (Director/Musical Director/Choreographer) for an upcoming production in 2024.
After the successes of Disney's Moana Jr. and Disney's Frozen Jr. we are so excited to begin preparations for The Court Theatre's production of Disney's The Little Mermaid Jr. Please read the below information carefully then fill out the expression of interest form.
Key Dates
Performer/Audition applications: End of 2023
Auditions: Early 2024
Rehearsals: TO BE CONFIRMED WITH CHOSEN CREATIVE TEAM
(likely two evenings a week PLUS Sunday rehearsals. Intensive weeks April School Holidays)
Show season: 8 - 20 July 2024
Pitch document
At the end of the form you will be able to attach your pitch document, this is how you 'sell us your vision', tell us who would make a dream team with you and what you want to get out of the process. Please ensure that it does not exceed four pages in length. Things you may like to include are as follows - aesthetics, creatives, what you want the participants to get out of it, diversity and inclusion ideas, rehearsal process, timelines... you can include anything. It is your pitch after all.
Other conditions:
- As this is a Junior production, cast must be between 7 - 18 years old, creatives can and must be 18+.
- Chaperones will be utilized on this show. This varies in number depending on the rehearsal/stage of the process we are up to.
- Two teams will be cast to give as many children as possible the opportunity to participate.
- All creatives will be police check and vetted, we will do this on your behalf upon receiving paperwork.
